Knots & other ends
For strength and security all ropes need to be extended beyond the end brackets. The standard end for all our ropes available for online ordering through Stair Ropes Direct is with the traditional Manrope Knot at both ends.

The Manrope Knot was originally developed to give a strong end to ropes on ships' gangways but is highly decorative too. This is by far the most popular option and is a great style that is practical too.

Brackets
Our stair rope brackets are made from solid cast brass and are available in brass, chrome or black finishes which can be fitted directly onto the wall or onto wooden mounts.

We recommend one bracket per metre plus one extra (e.g. a four metre rope will require five brackets). The brackets will be fixed to the rope at equal intervals unless you specify otherwise when ordering.

Wood Mounts
Hardwood mounts are an optional extra that are supplied in a natural finish but can be easily stained or painted to suit your decor.
